Town will start the season against Wigan

Ipswich Town will kick of their second League 1 season with a home game against recently relegated Wigan.


The super Blues will be hoping for a much-improved campaign after finishing 11th last season, their first in England's third tier since the '50s

So far this season, Paul Lambert has moved to bring in three players.

Goalkeeper David Cornell, Left Back Stephen Ward and striker Oli Hawkins have all arrived with fans speculating about the possibility of former loan man Luke Garbutt arriving with the player still to confirm a move elsewhere.


Town will host Northampton Town for the traditional Boxing day fixture and a tie against AFC Wimbledon is on the 2nd January.

Paul Lambert's men will finish the season at home to AFC Wimbledon.
